Tucked away north of Tuscany, lies Torre di Moravola — a 12th century watchtower renovated into a truly unique boutique hotel in the province of Perugia.
After surviving a nerve-wrecking drive through a single lane road high in the Umbrian hills, we arrived at a gate, signaling we have reached Moravola.
The grand stone tower is the personification of solidification amongst the soothing olive groves and lavender gardens. Slight glass and metal details elevated this medieval wonder into modern luxury.
We were welcomed at Moravola like old friends and we were treated like family throughout our stay.
Walking the stone streets in the neighboring town of Montone is like touring untouched history.
